Welcome back to the start of a new school year! I’m excited to have the opportunity to teach science this year at both the 6th and 8th grade levels. I hope everybody enjoyed the hot days summer as much as I did. This summer, my family and I ventured off on a road trip and ended up in Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts. The trip was fun, but by far the neatest experience we had was whale watching off of the coast of Plymouth, Massachusetts. We were fortunate enough to see 30 humpback whales, 2 calves, and 5 minky whales. It is definitely an event that I will never forget. Take the opportunity to go whale watching if it ever comes your way.
